When you think interior design, if you're like me, you think "decor" and "fancy furniture". It's waaay more complicated than that, but thanks to the internet, my collection of skills and hacks just grew. Here's something I didn't previously consider. Lighting. Not just a cool fixture, but the actual light and what it does for the space. As explained in this article, there are 3 main types of lighting. Ambient, accent and task. When properly layered, a bland space becomes so much more intentional, dimensional and balanced. This is why Realtors tell you to always turn your lights on during a showing.
